More about Professional Development Workshops
Through professional development workshops, required for BioBus and BioConnection visits, educators receive current information, teaching techniques and a hands-on experience in a biotechnology laboratory setting. Since inception, the programs have trained more than 600 teachers. Educators receive Continuing Education Unit credits for their participation.
To register for workshops, please download the appropriate registration forms (see above), complete, and fax or mail as indicated on the form by the deadline.
The BioBus Educational Programs Curriculum
The BioBus Educational Programs curriculum is used for both the BioBus and
BioConnection Programs and is designed to enable students to individually complete
a two-hour, inquiry-based, hands-on bioscience experiment. All of the experiments and
the course materials are aligned with the content areas found in the Connecticut
Framework: K-12 Curriculum Goals and Standards.
